The SuBsonic Centre Speakers are rather unusual, as they use multi point sources at higher frequencies (multiple tweeters). Similar to a phase array type approach, this design produces a field which is perceived by the brain to be more a 'sound window' than a 'sound point' - which is what home cinema is... you want the 'sound window' to match the 'visual window' (ie you want the centre sound to be as big as your picture). Our centre channels all use 'Complex Field Dispersion' (CFD), creating outstanding horizontal and vertical sound dispersion regardless of the listeners position, or whether the centre channel is placed above or below the viewing screen. These days, many loudspeaker companies just throw the cheapest drivers they can in a cabinet and call it a rear speaker. With greater demands being placed on every speaker in the home cinema system, the rear speakers are every bit as important as the rest of the speakers in the system.

We use exactly the same magnetically shielded woofers and tweeters in our rear speakers and centre speakers as we do in our main speakers, so you are guaranteed a perfect tonal match between every speaker in the system.
